New Release

New Release is the form for publishing music: create an album, fill in its details, and upload its tracks. When you're done, the release appears in your Catalog.

New releases start private

A newly created release is closed to every audience until you set its access. After creating it, open the album in your Catalog to choose public and fan-club release windows — immediate, scheduled, or fan-only.

Album details

Upload a cover image (recommended, up to 5 MB), then fill in the album fields — grouped into required and optional below.

Required

  • Release Year
  • Release Type — Single, EP, Album, Compilation, Demo, Live, or Soundtrack
  • Primary Genre
  • Release Date
  • Label Name — defaults to "Independent"
  • Copyright Line (â„—) — your sound-recording copyright, e.g. "â„— 2026 Artist Name"
  • Publishing Rights (©) — your composition copyright, e.g. "© 2026 Artist Name"

Optional

  • Language — defaults to English
  • Explicit content advisory (album-wide)
  • Re-release — mark this if the content was previously published

Tracks

Click the upload area to select your audio files. You can select multiple files at once.

  • Formats: MP3, FLAC, or WAV — up to 100 MB each
  • Station reads each file's title, duration, sample rate, and bit depth automatically and shows them on the track row.
  • Drag tracks to reorder them — track numbers follow the order you set.
  • Click a track's title to rename it, or add optional per-track artwork (up to 5 MB).

Click More on any track to edit its metadata:

  • ISRC code (validated if you enter one)
  • Explicit content advisory (per track)
  • Featured artists (comma-separated)
  • Lyrics

Create the release

Once your album has a title and at least one track, click Create Release. Station uploads your cover and tracks, then takes you to your Catalog where the new album is waiting.

Remember: it starts closed until you set its access.
